Motivation to workout
    #5650895 - 05/19/06 04:43 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I have all the motivation to work out and get fit.

But my fat friend, who lives in an apartment complex wants to start working out and they have a brand new facility.

I always want to go over and use it, but my friend always gives me excuses as to why he doesn't have time to work out.

Its always the, i got to work, play poker, and golf.

WTF IS THAT! So yes he moans about being fat and can't fuck his chick. How can i motivate him to work out with me?

I want to use that damn new workout facility!

First of all your motivation should be to help get your overweight friend into shape for health reasons, not so you can use the facility. If you start from there you will be more apt to find a succesful strategy.

He's just lazy.

Tell him that losing weight does more than just shape your body. It changes you as a whole, emotionally and personality wise. You become a better person, you enjoy things and life more, you just feel so much fucking better!!!! hah take it from me I've grown up overweight my whole life. Finally about a year ago I was so fed up I just went nuts in a gym. Now I have all my female coworkers calling me sexy... feels good

Has he tried the gym? Drag him out for one day.. then if he makes up another excuse pull the old "Cmon man! You did it one day, you can easily do it two"

then keep that up and like everyone else, you'll get hooked on the gym. It IS addicting

Definitely addicting.

When my friends are too lazy, I seriously just bug the shit out of them until they snap lol But we have a good relationship so I'm not sure if my advice would really work.

I always ask my friend what he's eaten today. He got a job where I works, so I know exactly what his paychecks are to the dollar. I ask him if he's been eating every 2.5 hours like he should be... every three hours... has he been drinking pop? why does he look so tired. why are his arms lookin so damn stringy. eh man, why are you lookin like such a crack head. he just goes on msn on his breaks and drinks some sort of fucking fruit drink... 20g of carbs, some calories, maybe a little vitamins, no fucking protein and far too little nutrient buddy! bring a steak to work, bitch!

And he'll snap and go to the gym, have a good work out, eat and generally keep on track. The little shit hasn't been going to the gym lately and I know he's just been smokin' pot and being a little burn out. But I won't give up. He needs to get back into things for summer, the ladies will surely motivate him.

Don't give up on your bro. He can't fuck his girl... that's sad.... I just had marathon makeup sex last night... if I couldn't screw, I'd get pretty depressed (In fact I didn't for a week!!). Put positive emphasis on what it will do for him and his woman. That's really sad. Keep on grilling his ass until he rages and goes to the gym.

I'm not an advocate for hate or torture, but I'll torture my friends if it's for a good cause. I love the bastards and only want the best. Tough love, buttercup. Tell him to get his laughy taffy into the gym and shake it!!!! When he's the one bugging you to go to the gym, he'll thank you a million for busting his ass in time.

If that's true then it wasn't meant to be! lol :ohwell:

But sometimes some friends just get burnt out... too many drugs, parties, problems... it happens. Maybe they're the ones draining you.

The friend I used in this examples kinda like that. He's a smart kid, but not always as book smart as he could be lol. Haven't talked to him in a couple of weeks but he's still my best bud. He knows I'm not trying to be his mother, but he has to find his own way sometimes. I'm sure I fuck things up here and there, but the good intentions are there. We're all young and it's all good :peace:
