well i go outside because i hear a hedge trimer in my yard. sure enough my neighbor is tramping 30+ well spaced, thined picture perfect looking hen & chicks. luckily half is okay. i wanted to kick his ass but he is old so i just have to let him know what he did and sucked it up. im so pissed there was even a garden fence going around them. you know mothyer nature is enough trouble for me i dont need old people trampling my garden on my property that was obviously fenced in grow space.

ive seen then come back after being covered with mud without human help to remove the mud, but it happened again and again and it eventually died, if the stem isnt broke then it should come back, jsut put a pole/stick thing and tie it up to it, thats what id do

speaking of poppies I just found 4 or 5 poppies growin around my house in places I never put seed...I have a feeling some of the seeds I put down in the summer that didn't germinate somehow moved and even survived the winter...I sprinkled some tassies today in some flower beds...I'll post some pics here unless u'd rather I start my own thread or post in the poppy seed - opium thread...don't wanna highjack your shit

Honestly in my experience, some of the trampled seedlings turn out to be the most vigorous. But yes, unless you have a fence around your area, poppies are like neighbor/idiot/focker magnets. "Oh wha? thas a garden?" Happened to me about four times in the last two years...
Hen and Chicks seedlings look a lot different than regular P.somnifs, don't they?
