PMP questions

Can you do casing in a PMP? I have only seen cakes inside other PMPs. Also can anyone tell me more or less how to control the humidity in the PMP? Is it just the ammount of holes? I have the bubble wands and I got the plastic valves to attach to the tubing so I can control the air flow.

Use perlite for humidity, unless you are going to do a casing which should probably give off enough moisture all alone.

I already have everything I need to make my PMP. Is using perlite better for casings than the PMP design? Its my first grow Im getting ready to do as soon as my spores come in the next day or two. Im gona do the BRF cakes to HPOO.

yes, you can do casings in the pmp and yes, the humidity control (and coincidentally the fae) are going to be 1/2 inch to 1 inch sized holes in the lid, magash uses/used 2 in his.
honestly i wouldnt mess with the control valves, unless you have a super-duper air pump that will cause too much fae, and dry out everything in the pmp. but in most cases, you probably wont have one that will put out too much air, and as long as you tweak the holes to the size you need to allow a proper amount of humidity to build up to the 75-85 range, you'll be fine.

im afraid to ask this question but is a PMP a better environment then the perlite? If I were to return my PMP supplies and use perlite how do you control a constant humidity degree with perlite?

the perlite is actually the rock at the bottom of the pmp used for humidity some people use hydroton/geolite, some use lava rocks, some use perlite. all a matter of preference.

the air pump is for a 30 gal tank. it was the most silent out of all of them. i got the valves b.c i wasnt sure if the air pump was to powerful, + they were only $0.79

My advise, just make sure you do a monthly cleansing ritual too properly sanitize your PMP after every grow. Also, I've learned that controlling RH isnt difficult, improvise a way to ether cap your FAE openings or add a set of Air Jets which stream into the chamber itself. Seriously though, Your gonna want all the humidifying power you can muster once the fruiting starts.
Good Luck. Oh and BTW - What kind of name is Gutmaggot? ...?
