HELP need a trained eye PERLITE

Hey is this a bad thing looks to me like blueish blackish something? I've read that there are many many differnt types of contamination ,also that cakes can bruse. This would be my first crop so u can understand my frustration... Also the edge of my cakes thats touching the perlite has been turning yellowish orangeish color is this bad or what .. And sorry about the carppy camera it was all I had.. Thankx Again SwShroomr

I can't say anything from your pictures, but your description looks like you have a contamined cake. Throw it. Green and orange on the same cake is not really a good sign !

Well if yer talking about green shit in yer perlite. My buddy has been getting algae in his non stop, doesnt seam to want to grow on cakes or do any damage. I think it makes o2 anyways.

Algae wont grow in the dark. If you want to get rid of it, find a way to keep the light away from the perlite.
