% wise,
out of all the times that you have experienced mushrooms, what was your % / ratio of good trips/bad trips.

Set & setting. I know it's a broken record but it's how I've only ever had one bad trip, and it was at a concert when I shouldn't have dosed. And all that was was just a lot of anxiety, so it was good I was fairly experienced.
But just wait for the right time (newbs), read all the FAQs, and don't eat more than you should.

I've never had a trip that I regret, or wish that I didnt expierence.
Actually, I'd be hard pressed to ever say I have had a 'bad trip' and I've been tripping for over two years. I had 1 trip that was pretty scary - but it was also my most euphoric and blissfull trip at the same time.
Even when I over did it on the HBWR seeds and spent many hours in my bathroom vomiting and my BF was close to getting me to call 911 for him because he feared for his life (he was able to remain calm by seeing how calm I was, and glad he didnt get me to call) -- other parts of the trip were so amazing, that going through a bit of hell to get to heaven first was more than worth it.
I find that on the trips that are a mix of 'part bad trip, part good trip' - I get the most out of them. Its like the 'bad' part of a trip is forcing me to deal/confront issues in my life and ackowledge them. Once I work through this, the trip turns incredibly euphoric/enjoyable - almost as like a 'reward' for not fighting the bad part of the trip.
With Mushrooms, now and then I get trips that are like, 100% good - but I never seem to enjoy them as much as the trips where I had to deal with some bad first.
and, I dont really consider the 'bad' all that bad - not really bad, more just difficult, but rewarding.

I don't believe in good or bad trips.
Some have been pleasant, some have been difficult, but it's all the same trip in the end.

I've had some trips that felt uncomfortable and were difficult, but nothing I'd say was horrifying or just straight out bad.
Set, setting, and don't panic. Remembering to slow down and think things out rationally really helps

It's really hard to say for me... I mean I've had my share of bad times. And I had thoes rare trips that were utter nightmares. But now I have recognized that on every trip I take, it has it share of negatives and positives. Sometimes what I think is going to be a bad trip because things aren't going well for me, it ends out turning into a glowing experience. And it works the other way around. I've had fantastically mind blowing experiences that dramatically turned around into a horror show. Would you count thoes as bad trips? The ones that are half and half?

^ interesting.
Ive only tripped once, and it was an amazing experience. I woul dhope tha the rest would be similar.
Now another interesting question is.
What kind of mushrooms?
Ive been lead to beleive that with a 1.5g dosage of mexican cubes and the right mindset, the trip is usually a positive one. But if dealing with other / stronger mushrooms, one has the higher potential of a negative trip(just from the potency - leading to the "mind blown experience")

I have never had a bad trip, some are more comfortable than others but none have been "bad" even my frightening trips were not in any way a bad trip in my book, just different and darker tinged showing me things I obviously needed to see.

Same as the other posters, I've had some difficult trips, but I would never call any trip bad in the sense that it has done me any long term harm (I wouldn't wish any of them away), in fact the most difficult trips have helped me to see where I'm going wrong in life and what I should be focusing my attention on.

i have been fortunate enough to avoid any bad trips thus far. and for that i am very thankful. it is all about setting, and even though it is said all the time(the first post, for example), it is imperative. just be comfortable in your area, and remember, it is only a drug (as hard as that can be sometimes)

I wouldnt say there is an exact proportion/ratio of when you have a good trip and when you have a bad trip, I think it all depends on your setting and mindset.
My 4 times tripping however, 3/4 of the time during the trips were bad while 1/4 time of the trips i actually enjoyed, and was SO fucking fun, while the other 3/4 of the trip was literally a living hell.

Lucky, what kind of setting and mindset were you in during the time when u did them?
All four of my times had been places that i wasnt sure about, for example 2 of them were downtown in my hometown while i had to be home to face my parents within a few hours, then the other 2 times were at my house while my parents were asleep fearing they could come out at any time.

I think that is definitely possible for some people to keep themselves from having a bad trip, but even the exact same mushroom dose between people is subjective.
I personally have never had a bad trip, but then again I did LSD before I ever did mushrooms and Iost a lot of fear while becoming much happier. I have done mushies more times than I can remember and nothing bad has even begun to happen, the way I saw it. And the way I see it, it's always just really intense, fun, and inspiring...I don't think I'll ever get tired of mushrooms.

I've had one bad experience with shrooms, but it was a really bad decision to dose, on my part. I was alone in my house, I was stressed from work and I ate a quarter of some really potent mushrooms that manifested themselves in the form of my computer talking to me and telling me to kill myself, since the police already knew I sold drugs (which I never have, never will, strangely enough).
But I think that, even given the worst parts, the trip was truthfully mind-expanding and informative. You just need to remember that you are on a hallucinogen... :P

So far, no distinctly horrid trips.
A few intense moments, but all went well enough.
