My phylosophy on human conflict
    #564851 - 02/27/02 02:17 PM (23 years, 1 month ago)

When you think about it, human conflict can be explained by a scale that goes from 0 to infinity, growing exponetually as the human race grows. That would be a scale over a period of time, as we grow as a species. Scale two, is a scale that can apply in the present, and is always there.  I will explain scale one:

As humans grow as a species, the conflicts get larger and larger. First tribes fighting, then kindoms, then contries, and so forth. The larger we(as in"human") are, the larger these groups get. It gets more complicated as time goes by, and as our technology dovelopes, etc. These are just the basics of my theory. When we look at ourselves in the present,we come to scale #2, the one I will go in depth on:

Look, if you will at the present. What do you see?? Don't look at the big picture for right now, just think about what you see everyday, on a small scale. Conflict!! The larger the group of people, the more conflict there is because of the size(thats why you need a small, comfortably group while tripping:))

look at all the kids at my high school for a good small scale example. You have groups of people, depending on interests ect. Some of those groups are jocks, hicks, stoners whatever... Some groups I feel are more intelectual, some have ego, some are just plain "not smart"(you know who I am talking about), and narrow minded. You have all these little coflicts going on, inside each individual group. Relationships ect.etc. Those groups are fighting with other groups as a hole, thus icreasing one digit on the scale. Some groups are peacfull, and elegant, with a thirst for knowledge, and to better there understanding and relationship with themselves and others(the group I belong to:)), some groups are quite nice sometimes but like to fight too much(jocks or hicks for example). Never the less, there is always some sort of tention between thses groups of people. why? Can we not look at the big picture for a change, instead of living in our little social groups?  That is an example of human conflict at it's least, in our present.

As we gradually increase on the scale, our conflicts become much larger. We discriminate people for the color of there damn skin for christs sake!! Gangs fighting like savage tribes and killing each other for no reason. the larger the city, the more chance for conflict, and the larger each group becomes. Look at the whole world now, with an open mind: Huge conflict!! Massive!!  Fighting for no reason, or at least no good reason.I'f this goes on, we have the idea that maybe the whole humanrace will come together, because the conflicts will just get larger. Star trek for example. the wider we get, the more cahnce of conflict, and the bigger the group will become until we have to come together as a race and fight with other races. There will of caurse still be a whole lot of fighting amongst one and other, but the scale will just keep getting bigger. Anyway, thx for reading, if you made it this far. Any opinions or ideas??

Human conflict can be boiled down to two things...

1) desire. I want what you have.

2) conditional love. I will care for, forgive, whatever, but only if you...

any takers?

I like the sound of that..i've been thinking about human relationships for a while. I see it as:

Love and Truth are one and the same.

Fear, which exists only for us to know love, is what stops us from loving other people uncoditionally, i.e. what stops relationships from working. We are all on our way to knowing love completely, but it's the fact that we do not know it fully that stops us from loving others. To not love someone else is to not love yourself, this happens because we don't yet know know that unconditional love is all that we are. To deny this is what causes us fear. To fear is to deny unconditional love.

I think that's it.

In reply to:

"Can we not look at the big picture for a change, instead of living in our little social groups? "

heh, we can't look at the big picture forever.  Eventually we will have to settle on a place and then what happens?  I think that instead of trying to dismiss the importance of all of the groups, we should relish them enjoy every difference.  There will always have to be groups, otherwise there will be nothing.  If all of the groups stopped caring about the little nuances that are their groups, and then they moved to something bigger, when do they get tired of all of the little things that make up the "bigger ideas".  Instead of moving up we should move forward.  I'm cool with all of the institutions, because I think a perfect society would be boring.

We need conflict to have peace

Think about that one
