Colonized WBS Question

Hi,
I've become pretty comfortable with WBS, Straw, Poo, & Casing. I soak, PC, and inject or do grain transfers with pretty good success. My question is with my colonized WBS. My colonized WBS does not look white and fluffy like a lot of the pics in everyones grow journals. My colonized WBS looks dry or parched. And sometimes some of the WBS doesn't look fully colonized, but I'm pretty sure it is. Sometimes if I shake the jar at the end of full colonization nothing breaks up except about 10% of the seed at the top of the jar and it never seems to "reattach" - even if I put it back in the incubator for a few days. Does anyone else experience this?
Thanks Shaq

Mine did the same thing....really not as fuzzy as the other pics show but when broken apart they where totally colonized. They also did not shake well.eitherand appeared really dry but no problems with them at all.I thought it was due to the fact that I only soaked the seed for like 30 minutes at the most! I wish I would have documented this stuff a little better because it was damn easy and much different then the stuff I have read on here.....let me know if this helped.

WBS should always be rinsed and soaked. Just my opinion, don't want a hassle.

Use gypsum to have the grain not clump, along with proper rinsing and soaking.
