Jar spawn help

Hey guys, I started my jars last friday so it has been 6 days now. No signs of growth really at all yet. I know it can take a while sometimes (I can't remember how long it took me last time, I kept no log and it was a long time ago). What can I expect for a time range? Not for full colonization, just to see some growth.. Anything I can do to help them out? I'm using the PF tek with BRF.
Thanks

Thanks. I'm sure they will be fine considering they are sterilized and have spores in them... The main thing I guess I'm wondering is what is variant? Does the colonization time vary more from person to person or batch to batch?

temp and how moist your cakes are and how much spore solution did you use. It can be a number of factors. Try to keep log so you can watch to see if one thing or another will help. my biggest problem has been temp flucuations, so I built a incubator, no that not a problem. you can find all the stuff on here if you look or pm me with a question and i will try to help if i can

Forget all that. You could have one print, make syringes from that print and come out with 1 syringe that colonizes fast and 9 that colonize like molases because of the genotype. Me, I waited two weeks with nothing (likely dud syringe) and then another two weeks (another dud, same vendor, same strain, same batch).
I'd suggest to the new people (I is one) to start an LC. First, you get results fast, 3-4 days or so. Second benefit of LC is that you can make more LC, you can spawn more than one cycle by stalling the LC (fridge) so there won't be any "did I get a bum syringe?" guesswork every time.
From what I've read and experienced, "hurry up and wait" makes up the bulk of growing shrooms. Learn it, love it, live it. I know it's almost impossible but some good advice is to just put them away and forget about 'em for 2 days at a time. To help pass that time, read these forums. I hardly even read the growlogs anymore (because I'm jealous), I just read the cultivation forums. Here you can find all the questions people ask and all the answers, too, but without having to ask.
Mycology, I think, is done by two types of folks. Those who enjoy the process as well as the result ...and those who don't. For the former types, growing and reading these forums is a hoot. For the latter ... Well, this hobby is known as "hell."

Splifner has a very good point and I am sorry splif that you havent had very good luck with that sponser. I hope they get it all worked out and then you will start having fun with this as well. I am alittle afraid to order from them because of all the bad luck you have had, maybe Ralphster is the way to go for you. If this next one they send you doesnt produce deffently switch sponsers. And splif is deffently right about the L C part. it is the only way to go
