Alright this is my 1st batch and all but 1 or 2 of my 24 jars are done colonizing and my terrariums are ready. What do i do with the verm off the top of my cakes once they are out of the jars? How much space in between each jars should i leave? Also is there anything minor that i should know before i take the cakes out of the jars?

scrape that verm into a trash can!
fill the jar back up with water, cover, and refrigerate for 12-24h (dunking). when done, roll it in some fresh verm so it sticks to the sides, sprinkle a little on top, and mist it down so it sticks. set the cake on a lid full of wet verm (or a little foil dish of wet verm... or whatever you come up with) and sit and wait for the pins. repeat the dunk after each flush.
you want at the very very minimum 2-3 inches of clearance on all sides between cakes. the more, the much better because it leaves more breathing room, more room for humidity to rise, and will let you get around easier once they're hopefully covered in mushrooms. good luck

ya dunk them. just fill up the jar with water. tap is fine unless where you live it suckes then use bottled or boiled. then when you birth your cakes roll em in verm. then mist it all up so its wet. now birth onto a lit or something else solid. put a bit of verm on top of the cake, assuming that what once was teh dry verm layer on top is now the bottom, so you don't need to put any verm down. this is called double end casing. along with the previous 'roll' tek this will help keep you cakes hydrated leading to improved yeilds. its just one step less then casing... which is actually less steps haha. you might want to crumble and calse a bunch of those 24 cakes you have.
soace between cakes well leave 2 inches at least more if you have the space but it doesn't really matter beucase the mushrooms with avoid each other. touching isn't bad.

I'd just flip the cake lid and all and put it in the terrarium then moisten the verm that seperates the lid and the cake. you can also put more verm on the top and moisten that. As for spacing it doesn't really matter until mushies pop out
