Picking dried mushrooms (subs)

I recently found some mushrooms that had been dried out by the sun, but I could clearly see the blueing on their stems and am confident that they are P. Subs.
Is there any reason not to consume subs that have been dried out in the ground? Further, should I treat these ones any differently to fresh picked subs with regards to storage?

Are you referring to P. Subaeruginosa, the wood-loving psilocybe or P. Subbs that grows in dung? If you are certain that you have correctly identified them then as long as they are not rotten or have moulds growing on them they should generally be safe to consume.
There will be a big potency loss due to weathering.

I'm talking about Subaeruginosa, I can just never remember how to spell that
Thanks for the tips.

P. Subbs ?
There is not P. Subbs .
There is a Panaeolus subbalteatus though, with the more recent name Panaeolus cinctulus

Thanks MagicalKnife. They were great, however I disagree with 'big potency loss' !!

Had just the same question, good 'ol search function before post... Rather than asking it again thought I should reply here though it is 2219 days old thread...
I've picked a whole bunch of subs today and half were dried also due to the sun. I was wondering if it is okay to pop them in the fridge like my more wet ones or should I go straight to drying seeing as they are already partially dried?
I'd like to consume them fresh, though.
Cheers!
