your top 10 trippin' albums

Thought i'd throw this out there cuz i've been thinking of it for some reason lately. Since we come from pretty diverse musical backgrounds from what i read....everyone's list will probably be different...Here's mine:
1. Piero Umiliani- "Today's Sound"
Very groovy Italian psychedelia from 1975.
2. Pink Floyd- "The More"
Yeah yeah, everyone picks Pink Floyd, but usually its Dark Side, or The Wall. The More is very underrated and completely tripped out. i mean it starts out "On a trip to Cyrus Minor...."
3. Broadcast- "HaHa Sound"
Inspired by 60's psychedelia, but it has a modern twist that makes it original. It'll rock you and trip you out. If you've ever read the lyrics to "Pendulum" you'll realize that this group are trippers too...
4. Pram- "The Museum of Imaginary Animals"
The last track "Play of the Waves," which i posted here, and nobody bit on....is worth every penny. Here it is again:
http://download.yousendit.com/B1B3B46D203DDBCA
5. Stereolab- "Free Witch and No Bra Queen"
OK, this isn't a full length, only 2 songs, but they're 2 of the trippiest grooves by a great band.
6. Stereolab- "Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night"
Crazy psych-jazz grooves. They sound alien almost while under the influence. "Italian Shoes Continuum" sounds like it was made by aliens.
7. Boards of Canada- "A Beautiful Place Out in the Country"
Wonderful trippy little EP.
8. Astrud Gilberto- "Compact Jazz"
Brazilian jazz, awesome tropical sounds...makes me feel like i'm on the beach or in the rainforest.
9. Turn On- "Turn On"
Pyschedelia as it should be: Completely strange and mind bending! Players from Stereolab and the High Llamas.
10. Brokeback- "Looks at the Bird"
Eerie dark jazz with subtle vocal harmonies and very nicely textured guitar and electronics. Good for tripping in the desert or somewhere stark.

Shame on those that don't know those bands:
1. Coil - any (experimental, magickal, esoteric, occult and, above all, the trippiest of all) 2. The Legendary Pink Dots - most (progressive rock - the shroomiest of all, older are more psychedelic) 3. Shpongle - any (I bet you know)
First try? Coil: Love's Secret Domain or Remote Viewer LPD: Maria Dimension or Basilisk

Play it babies. Play it loud and don't open your eyes til it's over. Worth the price of admission every time. For more fun from the time when music didn't suck we might add Emerson Lake and Palmer "Welcome Back My Friends...."

"from the begining" or stfu
i've made many a make-shift tripping cd.
somehow "from the begining" and "wooden ships" (csn) always seems to make it onto the cd.

You ever hear that album tripping?
Pretty intense. And if not in the right mindset, can really fuck with you.........

definately. i'm just not into hearing albums like that when i'm tripping. too dark, waaaaay too dark. makes me uncomforatable.
i LOVE that album. i picked it up when it first came out after hearing "just one fix" and "nwo" on the radio. it still stands firm in one of the most cherished albums i own and does still to this date gets some play (i've heard it about a billion times over the last 14 years, gets a lil played out when you bump it so often).
but yeah, point is, too dark and too loud. can't handle it.
