Casing Question

I went to walmart to look for jiffy mix but i guess they don't carry it in canada so i looked at the ingredients of other potting soils they had there and found one called "Floral". It contains-
enriched black earth
peatmoss
perlite
vermiculite
horticultural sand
lime

I was wondering if this would be alright to use for casings.

I think I'd add 1 part vermiculite for every 3 parts potting soil just to make sure it has lots of water retention

The mix sounds fine, perhaps add some more limestone, but otherwise it?s ok.

I didnt see where he said how much lime is actually going to be in there.
I'm having a problem too, i think i may have too little lime in my casing mixture.
15cups verm
15cups peat
2cups limestone
pressure cook 45mins

is that too little lime? should i beef it up to 5 cups?

This is enough limestone. Probably too much if it was hydrated lime.

The reason i say this anno, is because a couple of the casings have develoiped what i think is cobweb mold (but they're still pinning now)
Some of the recipes ive read were 15cups peat/15cups verm/5cups oyster shell/2 1/2 cups lime
oyster shell is simply Calcium, which would serve roughly the same purpose (less water holding) than lime i would assume??
or am i on the wrong track. thats why i said i was thinking of raising the lime to 5 cups /15 peat/15rye
