Casing Layer Colonized Too Much?
    #5640411 - 05/17/06 12:14 AM (17 years, 8 months ago)

What's the verdict?

Is this casing ok?  Anything I need to do other than to just wait.  It's been in the fruting chamber for 3-4 days now.

I think I'm being a little too impatient?

That would be a bit over-colonized for my taste, but It should do good.

Whats the RH% in your fruiting chamber?

That more or less happened to me. What'd you case it with?
Just make sure to keep that thing moist. w/o a thicker casing layer, it'll dry out quicker. It wont hurt the mycelium to spray it, but once pins pop up, try not to spray them too much, and if you do, just fan it a lot to dry them off. Also remember, spraying lightly and often is better then over spraying it occasionally. My over colonized casing took about 10 days in the FC to pin

Anything I say is fictional. Duh.

A little over colonized for the time period it's been in there but it should still just fine.
