Its Picture Book Time!!!
http://www.gertzfile.com/gertzfile/InsidetheRing.html
Rep. Cynthia A. McKinney, the Georgia Democrat who hit a Capitol Police officer who did not recognize her and asked her to stop, has raised some eyebrows in defense circles. She added autopsy pictures to the 2007 budget report from the House Armed Services Committee.
In the report's section for dissenting views, Mrs. McKinney attached 24 grisly photographs of the remains of Jaime Gomez, the chief of staff to a Colombian senator who is running in the May 28 presidential elections. His supporters say he was killed, but the government says his death may have been an accident.
"War never truly creates peace, but always leads to more war," Mrs. McKinney writes. "The threat of unconsolidated and ill-equipped terrorist groups has been used to expand the funding of huge corporate contracts for weapons and war while denying the human suffering and needs that face us."
Ron Bonjean, a spokesman for House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, told The Washington Times congressional bureau chief Charles Hurt, "Our focus should be on winning the war on terror rather than printing up 30 pages of skeletal remains."
Mrs. McKinney's office said she could not be reached for comment last night.
-------------------- “I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

She was all over me at a party in D.C. I realized that her face wasn't so bad when it was slurping a kielbasa and I didn't have to look at it.

She ignored congressional rules, disobeyed a police officer, struck a police officer, and then played the race card claiming she was abused because of her color. Yeah, real awesome roll model here.

It amazes me, that people like this can even get elected.(are American voters this dumb?)
I mean, look how stupid it was, to submit all of those pictures, when they had absolutely no bearing on the situation??????

In my estimation, people that are in elected positions, must be held to a much higher standard then your typical citizen..........

^^^ Exactly... lead by example... rather, she belittles the reality of racial profiling by playing the race card when something doesn't go your way! She should be ashamed of herself, and every person that has been a victim of real racial profiling should be annoyed with her as well.
When I worked for the fed, I had to show my ID to the guard every single day when I came to work. It was the same guard, every single day. Didn't matter. I still had to show my ID. We were on a first name basis and I went to her wedding, but I still had to show my ID when I came into work.

To equate bad behavior with bad behavior doesn't make it OK.

I used to think she was a loon, but she is portrayed that way in the media.
if you watch cspan or any of her debates / etc or read her objections, she has a very good head on her shoulders, and i would vote for her if it was up to me.

From the zappisgod posted :
The New Yorker's drama critic John Lahr admitted in Slate to a similar notion. And McKinney's colleague, Rep. Melvin Watt, D-N.C., told the Washington Post that "a number of people say it."
But McKinney, a Georgia Democrat, appears to be the first to take it seriously. After confessing his suspicion, Lahr attributed it to "paranoia." Watt hastily followed up his comment by saying, "I can't say that it would be a widely held view." McKinney, weeks after her statement, would say only, "A complete investigation might reveal" that "President Bush or members of his administration have personally profited from the attacks of 9-11."
Where is her proof?

"might reveal"
the fact she is open to alternative theories gives her more credibility than those who ignore the insane amount of polls showing concern with the truth in the whole official report. why would she need proof to investigate? you need proof to convict, not question.

kotik stated:

Simply calling for an investigation, based on a personal assumption or an idea, held with no foundation (call it facts, proof, the "truth", whatever) is stupid. There most be a preponderance of at least circumstantial evidence, to at least add some sort of credibility, for a call of an investigation

I am not here in this thread, to defend GWB
What I am pointing out, is the fucked up composition of the House. (or at least one of the componets)
