Tinfoil IN the casing??
    #5639433 - 05/16/06 08:56 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

i see in a lot of pictures of people's cases they have a layer of tinfoil in between the substrate and plastic case, but never saw a mention of this in any teks. what is the significance of it? the people that use it seem to get amazing flushes, its probably not a coincidence...

here's an example:

A lot of the cases that are used are see through or will let light in.

You want the substrate covered from the light to stop pre pinning or growth from up the sides.

And it pules with the substrate as is shrinks.

I think people should get away from that, cause of possibilities of metal poisoning (alzheimer's), there is nothing proving it either way, but it would seem just to be better not to use it. Instead black plastic bags work even better, and there is no possible risk.

Since the Mycelium dose not metabolize the plastic.
