casing
    #5639231 - 05/16/06 08:11 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

i fuged up my casing. I used a clear container and it started to pin at the bottom. I managed to make a few grow up to the surface, and they were fucking huge, but i got some aborts and small ones growing on the bottom and sideways. Can i take the casing out of the container or is this casing doomed?

i would say get black duct tape, tape up the sides of the container so no light can get through (2 layers maybe?) then take out hte casing chunk, wipe off the pins, put back, if it top looks like casing with a little mycelium poking through, thats good (if not put an UBER THIN ASS MOTHERFUCKIN THIN layer of casing layer just to BARELY cover the overly exposed mycelium). Now, mist it with some clean water, cover it with foil and fridge that sucker for 24hrs or so, then take it out, mist again if needed and pop into fruiting.  :headbanger:  :rastamon:

You can't take just the casing out because it's attached to the substrate. You can however roll the substrate out of the container and pick the fruits off the bottom. Dunk and return.
