Do you type like you speak?

This question crosses my mind from time to time, because I have read some pretty unintelligible, on here. So, do you talk like you type, or vice versa? I do.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I like to have fun using words in a way that I might not say them.

Haha! Your avatar is cracking me up. I have a feeling that you love some horror movies. I'm just kidding. I already knew that you like horror flicks.
Seriously though, if some of the people in here talked like they typed, they need to take hooked on phonics, or something.

Mostly, I think.
Sometimes I most defintely use words and language in a way that I can't in real life. It's nice to be able to think out a reply sometimes.
Maybe I'm more articulate online then IRL? Sometimes?

Also, that's one reason I love the amount of smileys here. I am very active when I speak, with gestures and facial expressions, so I find myself able to express myself well here.

Yeah, I agree with that statement, too. I am abit more articulate when I type/write. I do like to think out my replies and you can't always do that irl. Good point.

I always use smileys to get a point across. Like if I am joking, or just jesting at someone and I don't want it to be taken the wrong way. Something like that. I do love the choice of smileys that we have here.

No. I think one should show some respect towards the fellow readers by using proper grammar. I can't stand it when people write like a 13-year-old... yo man yea i now wut ur talkin bout!! peace man
I don't expect 100% perfect writing but using real words, big letters (lol what r those??) and punctuation really makes it easier to read. There seems to be a strong correlation between education and grammar.

No, I can't type as fast as I can talk and sometimes don't find a way to express what I'm saying.
I try my best to type the way I speak but it just doesn't workout.
In person I'll pop off with a comment or joke but on here I feel like it should have more substance or be thought out.

Hell yeah, the whole smiley panel allows for a lot of expression where text might be lacking. I also think it's cool we're able to communicate using images, videos, or gifs.

I can't even imagine how i'd respond if someone said "lol" to me in real life. As far as netspeak goes, the only term I ever use out loud is "pwned".
When I do, it's usually over a game of street fighter, and I like to yell it as loud as I can.
There is nothing more fun than trash talk.

I tend to talk exactly like I type. I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to grammar. I have no detectable accent, even though I was raised in the south.
Eris can tell you, he's heard me on the phone. Granted I was really drunk, so I was probably slurring my speech a little
Some people say I talk eloquently, sometimes too much so. I like to use "big words" or words that aren't commonly used. This tends to confuse people in my area (the south). They also look at me strange when I say I did something "well" instead of "good."
I've heard some people say "the words make the man" and I find that to be true. If someone talks like an idiot, I assume they're an idiot. I tend to talk professionally and correctly so that people assume that I'm a well educated person (and I am ).

For awhile when I first started using the internet, I was lazy and didn't bother typing properly, but then I noticed how stupid other people looked when they typed like that.
It really does bug me when people don't use punctuation or capitalization. So I try to set a good example.

I think that you meant to put person at the end of the sentence, but you forgot, in the process of putting the smiley in the parenthesis. I was just a small mess up at a crucial juncture of your point.

I don't speak English that much with Dutch being my native language. When I meet English speaking people I notice that after I while my speech usually adapts to their speech. So when I speak to Americans for a while I'll use 'like' more often etc.

and unfortunatly i'm not good with using commas and stuff... which usualy leads to "..." these or really long sentences that in real life would probably be diffrent!
