Do you type like you speak?
    #5637227 - 05/16/06 12:23 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

This question crosses my mind from time to time, because I have read some pretty unintelligible, on here. So, do you talk like you type, or vice versa? I do.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I like to have fun using words in a way that I might not say them.

Yep. I would say I type almost exactly how I talk.

Haha! Your avatar is cracking me up. I have a feeling that you love some horror movies. I'm just kidding. I already knew that you like horror flicks.

Seriously though, if some of the people in here talked like they typed, they need to take hooked on phonics, or something.

Mostly, I think.

Sometimes I most defintely use words and language in a way that I can't in real life.  It's nice to be able to think out a reply sometimes.

Maybe I'm more articulate online then IRL?  Sometimes?

Also, that's one reason I love the amount of smileys here. I am very active when I speak, with gestures and facial expressions, so I find myself able to express myself well here.

Yeah, I agree with that statement, too. I am abit more articulate when I type/write. I do like to think out my replies and you can't always do that irl. Good point.

I always use smileys to get a point across. Like if I am joking, or just jesting at someone and I don't want it to be taken the wrong way. Something like that. I do love the choice of smileys that we have here.:yesnod: :smirk:

I've found the psychedelic experience forum to be full of these enigmas.

No. I think one should show some respect towards the fellow readers by using proper grammar. I can't stand it when people write like a 13-year-old... yo man yea i now wut ur talkin bout!!   :stoned: :stoned: peace man

I don't expect 100% perfect writing but using real words, big letters (lol what r those??) and punctuation really makes it easier to read. There seems to be a strong correlation between education and grammar.

No, I can't type as fast as I can talk and sometimes don't find a way to express what I'm saying.

I try my best to type the way I speak but it just doesn't workout.

In person I'll pop off with a comment or joke but on here I feel like it should have more substance or be thought out.

Hell yeah, the whole smiley panel allows for a lot of expression where text might be lacking. I also think it's cool we're able to communicate using images, videos, or gifs.

I have no idea.
