So I am 6'4 and 145-150 pounds depending. I need a good diet and excercise plan to put some meat on my bones. I need to gain quite a bit of weight and I plan to work on it over the summer because I will be home from school and nothing to do except work every once in a while. Thanks in advance.

There's a lot of good threads in this forum, as well as other ones scattered all over.
For the most part up your caloric intake, eat clean and lean (meat), and work out using heavy compound movements. As long as you have adequate recovery including nutrition, you will pretty much grow no matter what you're doing.

A clean bulk is what you could do. Basically, increasing your calorie totals.
Just stay away from the mindset that getting big, wheather it be from fast food or the healthy route, are both the same. The dirty bulk will be ALOT harder to control. Now for foods....
Milk Whole grain wheat bread oats eggs chicken lean ground beef turkey tuna veggies potatos
I could go on forever.

hey, just something i read not too long ago. there was an article somewhere that said that weat products would line stomach with a cover which would prevent the stomach from absorbing some nutrients or soemthing like that. bread is important, but its best used if its after your meal, not a starter.
edit: cause i live the typo

Eat about 300 grams protien everyday consisting of chicken, lean beef, eggs and fish. Keep carbs moderate and eat oatmeal, yams, brown rice, salads. Keep your fats moderate and get them from fish oil, nuts, flax, oil.

Mhm... make sure to drink lots of water as well. It's good for cutting and bulking. It's also good for your digestive system because no doubt, it ain't gonna be used to processing all of that protein. I don't particularly agree with doctors and nurses when they say that a high protein and moderate carb diet is particularly taxing, but it's always good to do things properly. Get used to drinking lots of water because chances are that you probably aren't drinking enough.
Thrash your body in the gym, eat like a king. You will see a VERY noticable change in things like your levels of energy, libido and much more. It's pretty rewarding.

very. i read a survey once which stated that 80% of americans are dehydrated... also heard that when you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated and technically you shouldnt allow your body to become dehydrated. so you should drink before you even get thirsty. and remember that sometimes when we feel a little hungry, it might just be that we are thirsty.

Eat about 300 grams protien everyday
that is excessive. it takes about 8 chicken breasts or cans of tuna to get that much protein. he doesn't need that much. the excess just gets pissed out and puts a strain on the kidneys.

Not so hard with whey protien, a couple protien shakes a day.

To put this in perspective, a pound is about 450 grams.

Naw, I don't think it's really overkill.
When people say that it's tough on your kidneys, this is general advice given from family physicians. They will tell this to a 10 year old boy before he's hit puberty, a 50 year old woman who's had menopause, and to someone who's looking at bodybuilding or just getting in shape... but this doesn't fit everyone.
This kind of information's definitely not applicable to who want to become anabolic and put on a little mass.
Protein should be from lean cuts and in the form of shakes. Make sure to keep hydrated because although no one likes percentages or statistics, a huge majority of people ARE dehydrated and don't know it. People in general know SQUAT about nutrition anyways. Drink all thoughout the day and the protein won't wreck your kidneys in the least bit.
Protein's made up of BCAAs and that will keep your body anabolic. You can become leaner and stronger.
Pardon me, I'm messed up tonight (no recreational drugs, just exhaustion)... had an intense arm workout and took some ZMA... I'm about to pass out,

Eat huge meals right before you go to sleep. Always worked for me, if I wanted to gain wieght.

Same. I had to cling to every carb and calorie when I first started working out. A huge glass of milks good cause that shit's mainly casein protein, and it takes longer to digest. Drink some whole milk before bed if you're looking to bulk on a budget.
Not to mention, milk is ever-so-fucking good when it's super cold. It always hits the spot before catching some zzz's. I wouldn't stop drinking milk even if I became a complete lard ass. Arnold used to say milk is for babies but I don't know what he was jammerin about..
