no.
brown drops? yellowish droplets are mycelium waste/byproducts, aka myc piss. brown doesn't sound right... unless perhaps you've been misting you're casing and theres something in the material giving the droplets a brown tint?
pins are near when you see lumps (hyphal knots) forming, and then you'll see little white dots, many of which soon turn into pins.

ohh... well sometimes you can see it easier than other times, its an indication your myc is live and kicking but there's not much of a correlation with when its going to fruit. its probably about ready to fruit regardless.

Metabolyte production is high when bacteria or other contaminants are present, or if the temperature is too high. Small amounts of metabolyte are normal. They don't correlate to fruiting. RR

Not at all it been an age old adage Slang for metabolic by-products just like when something is totally kickass we say it's the shit well it real isn't shit but we all know it.

"Myc piss" will also occur when no bacteria/contams are present and can simply be a result of prolonged incubation.

Sounds like it's brown since you're using casing - are you using poo as well? When it's from grains in jars it blends in and looks like condensate at first, but a little thicker. Turns yellow as it oxidizes.
