I picked up some asparagus and some portabella mushrooms at the store today. I've never cooked asparagus but with a google search I found out how to trim/boil it.
So I boiled for 3 minutes, then added to a tablespoon of butter in my frying pan. Then I sliced up the portabellas and dumped them in. All over medium/medium high heat. A pinch of salt, some dried minced onions, garlic salt, and some fresh parsely sautéed for about 7-8 minutes.
My kitchen was filled with an amazing aroma, and quite proud of my random act of stir-fry I indulged. Time to loosen my belt and knock back a few :-) Try it out!

Stir-fry rocks. Incredibly versatile and easy. The toughest part to master is gauging which order to put the various foods into the pan. In my experience, you'll generally want to cook over high heat, adding in the ingredients that will cook the longest first, and adding in your fresh herbs last just to get them heated and give them some color, without cooking 'em into a soggy mess.

Love stir fry.....hardest thing IMO is that it is 90% prep 10% cooking
