Slow Incubation
    #5634186 - 05/15/06 06:36 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

The incubation period seems to be lasting far, far too long. I have grown before and never before has it taken this long. I have a constant temperature of 84 degrees. I cannot seem to figure this out. There is no contaminants visible. Please help me out. Thanks.

There is no scent other than the slight aroma of growing mushroom. Like i said, i have done this before, i just dont know what is going on. I think it may have something to do with the temperature setting my heater was at. I had the heat set to 84 degrees, but i also had the incubator heater going. I belive that the problem may be an excess of heat do to the combination use of both room heater and incubation heater. Prior to the heater installation the temperature remainded at a constant 80 degrees, when the room heater was added i think that the air temperature difference caused an increase in the temperature within the incubation chamber, thus, slowing the rate at which the fungus grew. Does that sound like a reasonable explaination for the issues that i am undergoing? All help and advice is much, much appreciated. Thank you shroomerites.
