Huge Plant

Ive had a friend growing a papaver somniferium indoors 24/0 and its getting huge. was needing information on wat causes pods to develop, wat triggers and shit.
is it caused by light cycle? or does it auto flower
since it was so big i was wondering wat cloning method would be good. was gunna try layering but if i can just cut it and have good success that way it would be better. I know it would be easy just to plant some seeds but this fuker has way out preformed the rest growth wise.

Cloning isnt a good idea for poppys, neither is flowering indoors.. If I were going to flower Id give them 12/12 and up the wattage with an extra hps if possible. Im not sure what theyre under right now, but theyll need a lot of light in flowering.
Have you considered just growing htem outdoors. Why dont you just grow them in your back yard. theyre legal and most of the public doesnt know which is which. I would think that if a cop was in your house and saw poppys growing indoors they would be checkin up on the type of flower it is. Sends some pics our way if you could.. Id like to hear the setup.

people forget that the internet exists in more than just one country, and just say "they're legal" or "they're illegal".
Be specific, there's no sense in a silly argument between people in different countries.
In america, poppy plants are illegal. Only the seeds are legal. Poppy pods are also illegal. Don't argue with that, don't even bother, you'll feel sheepish when someone posts a link to the "oops, you're wrong!" legal document.
That said... In some other countries, poppies are only illegal if lanced or processed into opium. Outside of the US, laws are different about this sort of thing.

Does that mean they stay veg in 24/0 ?
id really like to start them inside cause im having a hard time starting them ouside. The one inside is 50 times the size the ones i planted outside so i figured if i cloned it 25 times and then planted the clones outside when they get established roots.

hey now, put that big gurl outside. don't waste my time on "cloning" it. btw, you can see poppy pods sold as flower arrangements all the time in the great united states . god bless america.
don't till the whole lawn with them, u should be cool. they grow as a weed in CA and most states kinda like dandalions., and are an addition to any flower garden.

What country do you live in, moloov. Have you even said that? Say it. Quote:

It has happened a million times, so unless you live in some other country, stop fighting it.

should be flowering unde 24hrs of light. unless the plant hasnt reached maturity. in my mind plants indoor under 1000w(HPS) light give you 3/4 the amount of latex outdoors. not as much but safty is a concern. Some may say its 50% less but it varies plant to plant. outside there are very few busts. in my opinon hen & chicks in other eyes dont resemble poppies as much at least in the opium sence.
