???Need Some ANSWERS About Substrate???

hey whatz up? i needed a little bit of help..I'm new to this whole mush thing and had started out with the vermic/brown rice flour tek and so far has done outstanding. But I'd like to move up with the big boys so to say, And start using the Grain tek. Execpt everyone uses differnt termanology!! SO could someone explain exzactly what i need to put in the jars and where i might find it at? Also Is there any Substitute for micron magick filters that I might find at a local store? Oh ya and any personal tips you'd like to add would be hella cool. @:-)

Anno, Do you PC your jars with the fiberfill already on the lid, or do you tape the lid first, PC and then take the tape off, innoculate, then put polyfill on?..

I use finch feed.  Some pets say you should use all millet (i.e. parakeet feed), but parakeet seed seems to cook to a mush for my cat and she doesn't even want to use it.  Finch feed has several types of millet, as well as croat oats and barly and other good stuff...
as for the magic filters, some pets use polyfill, which is quite excellent, however, my cat has found pillowcases made of tyvek at T*rget (the pillow cases she showed me were like hospital type pillow cases made of tyvek) and she is looking forward to using them.  Look up the CornCob slurry tek and post your results... :smile:
rye berries she hasn't used yet...anybody know where to purchase other than the internet...i.e. health food stores, *-mart, t*rget, etc....
