I am sorry for asking this in advance.
I know that you can get jars at walmart and such but, they are seasonal and not for sale right now.
Is there anywhere in toronto I can go to pick up a bunch of pint jars?

There are several websites that you can buy canning jars from. The downside is that you have to pay for shipping and handling. For me, I have to go right down the street to the hardware store and they have an aisle full of jars.
Check hardware stores, houseware stores and anything that would have shit for food or a kitchen. If not, buy from a website.

jam jars work great. or tomoato cause jars, you probably use glass jars that are of good size for wbs. as for cakes you can just use drinking glasses with plastic wrap over them. toss on a hole with sporetape for gas exchange and your set.

Go to a grocery store, they normally have them all year round. If that doesn't work, any hardware store should have them since people use them to store misc. screws, nails, etc. K-Mart, WalMart, and sears should all have them.
