I suggest everyone do this, especially the regulars.
Go to the search function.
In the "Newer than" box, select 10 years. In the "Older than" box, select an amount of time that would bring you to slightly after you registered here.
If you have less than 1000 posts you don't need the "Older than" box, just leave it blank. If you have more than 1000 you will have to set the "Older than" box. Takes a bit of fiddling around, but I'm sure you'll manage.
So what have you learned since you first came here? Have you changed for the better or the worse? You may be surprised... go take a look at your early posts here!
Search Function
Here's my first post:

adjust said: The best prank I ever did was quite a few years ago. BTW, this is my first post here, hi. Anyways I was a bit of a frog nut, and I would always be looking for frog egg masses in swamps and ponds (so I could raise frogs). Back to the prank, I happened to have some frog eggs in my pockets and I was eating at KFC. When I was done the meal I went to the bathroom and DUMPED the egg masses into the urinal.
For those of you that have never seen frog eggs, they look kind of like tapioca, only all stuck together in a gooey mass.

My first post was in the cultivation forum.....
Quote:
I have known about magic mushrooms all my life but only recently had the chance to try them. Boy was I impressed with this little fungus. A friend found them in a cow pasture. We checked them out and they were the real thing. They were PSILOCYBE CUBENSIS. I was looking into trying to grow them from the fresh 'shrooms we found.
My question is Why cant you just dig up the ground and 'shroom around where the 'shrooms are growing and bring it indoors?
Wouldnt they keep growing if the temp and humidity are right? Why do all the instructions that I have found so far call for LOTS of prep work; sterilizing jars and mixing up exotig grow mediums.
These things are growing wild on a pile of cow shit. Why all the fuss on getting them to grow?
Any help would be nice 'cause I REALLY want to grow these things at home. They are MUCH better than weed
Thanks

Lmao... reading my first post, I almost said "what the fuck?" out loud

Konnrade said: I've found one of many suppliers on the net that sells a variety of legal plants containing entheogenic substances. Of course, as a man who has seen "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", and who was casually acquainted with a member of the native american church, I knew about mescaline, and ordered three 6-inch cuttings of san pedro.
I then spent about $45 on wide, shallow terra cotta pots and cactus soil. Obviously my intention is to propagate.
However, I only paid $29 for the three cuttings, including shipping. This should be 1.5 standard doses for a person of my size (170lbs, but very small build) or one good dose. I have never been able to acquire any psychoactive substance other than marijuana and I am anxious to try mescaline, since it is no doubt healthier than smoking regularly, and allows a certain level of increased lucidity compared to marijuana.
My question is if you out there feel it would be worth the price to pluck two of my cuttings from their soil and prepare them, leaving the healthiest in place (two of them are cut on both ends, one is cut from a tip). Then to order more as time elapses, planting one and using the others.
Note that I am a full-time college student, and am at the moment unemployed. My income consists off odd-jobs done when needed... though I expect to find a weekend job soon. (My fluid assets are about $20 a week)
Would I break my budget with occasional healing mescaline use?

Here it is:

felix said: from what i have read and heard you need to give them more air exchanges.too much co2 results in very small specimens. the more fresh air the better
I should have mentioned, a good way to do this is to set the "Older than" box in years. So you try 9 years, then 8, 7, 6--until your first posts come up. Then if need be narrow it down a bit more using months.
Be sure to put your name in the username box.

I also ordered a shroom kit from University Scientific Corporation.Im still researching as to which method I will use. Cakes or Casing. If u guys have any input, I highly welcome it. My kit comes with 6 Super MycoJars with breathable filters so I might grow some straight out of a couple of them.I will post pics as I progress. Wish me luck!!!

Ever have those random memory resurgences to the first days of your drug-taking when you realize something was fishy? Anyway, what I'm referring to is - I have this crystal-clear memory from one of the first few times I'd ever smoked, the tenth maybe. My friend Francois had shown up at another friend's house with the pot, and I clearly remember him saying he thought it looked like something else was on it, and indeed it looked like it had small crystals on it..not your normal yummy looking thc crystals I've grown accustomed to now..these were like little splinters of glass but not glass. Anyway, we smoked it anyway.
Thinking back on it now I remember how fucking weird it was..my friend's dad lived in the living room, adjoined to the kitchen, so when I went to go get popsicles, I had to be ultra quiet...and no lights, so everything was pitch black and I had to feel my away around. I'd already felt extremely fucked up and when I went out into the hallway it seemed I had a bubble extending a couple of centimeters from every surface of my body with air inbetween the bubble surface and my skin, even on my feet, so I didn't think I was touching the floor. When I opened the freezer, it took forever to find the popsicles, and I was leaning in big-time,a nd it was a big freezer, and here's what makes me wantr to ask this question: I became convinced I had stepped inside the freezer, and I'm sure this wasn't early-pot-smoker-paranoia, either. I started closing the freezer door slowly until it finally shut and I realized I was NOT in the freezer, which shocked me so much I stood there for a couple of minutes before going back to the room.
The next thing I remember is laying on the floor while Francois stood above me, looking down at me, and he would lean down so his face would get closer and farther while our other friend would yell "Fraaaaaancoooooooooiiiiiiiiis" and it really seemed the entire dimensions of the room stretched with his movements. Weird.

first post i made here was a reply to a thread.
forum: Mushroom Cultivation thread title: Mistakes of a Newbie... I deleted my post due to one of our shroomery paranoia scares.
The post was about my "clear syringe" having spores... ( yes your common newby question of " did i get fucked" lol )
At this time the spore syringe was alien to me, until then i had done all of my work the old fashioned way of agar to grain to substrate
i had just stumbled upon the shroom wizards site and his exciting method of using a syringe had me captivated.
to bad thats the ONLY good idea the SW had lol. ON HIS SITE, I KNOW HE DIDNT INVENT IT......... i learned LATER that it was PF's brainchild, NOT the shroom wizards
But never trying a syringe i was sooo excited.
The lure of mega yeilds of shrooms in such a fast time ( compared to the way i was cultivating at the time ) made me recall an old story i read in the high times special shroom edition of storing shrooms in raw honey ( aka blue honey)
I wanted to be ready when i capitalized on this " new spore syringe" tek, so i searched for the blue honey tek..... the search sent me to the shroomery beacuse it picked up the name of a former mod bluhoney..
The first actual thread i started was in the ethnobotanical garde forum, i was searching for a Bufo Alvarus toad or a phyllomedusa bicolor frog the post was just asking if anyone knew where i could get either. It was only a 2 line post so no sence posting it here now

I have heard of a couple different ways to put the foil on the lids after/before inocculation. The last few times I tried I screwed on the lids then wrapped the foil over the top of everything, but a buddy of mine who has had better success with this told me that he puts the foil on after the dry layer of verm. then screws on the lids. I was just wondering what you guys did and what do you think would be the best way.

Jfisher said: I actually tried something similar my first time. I recommend taking your dried shrooms, and tossing them into a coffee grinder with whole mint leaves. Nevermind straining it, if you're not into the chunks at the bottom of your tea cup, don't drink em. It leaves the choice up to the drinker if you're preparing for guests. Have fun.
