Fill out the poll and reply in greater detail.
This poll applies to your main monitor (or your best one) if you have more than one.
If you're using more than one monitor at once, well, fuck you.

Yeah, 2 problems with this poll.
1 - Forgot to include 24 bit color as an option. 2 - For the price range part, this doesn't really apply to laptop monitors.
So I guess if you have 24 bit, just choose "Other" and if you're on a laptop don't select anything for the price part.

I have a Viewsonic P815 monitor. I got it in late '98 for around $1200. It has been a great monitor, though it is starting to act up a bit. I will probably have to replace it next year. Still, less than $200 per year for one of the best monitors I have ever seen. The big down side is the bulk; this thing is BIG and HEAVY. It is also old enough that it doesn't support digital signals. My next monitor will not be a CRT.

Yes, I imagine a monitor like that would take up a large part of your computer desk. That's why I went with an LCD for my latest monitor. It takes up very little room and it doesn't throw heat off like a CRT.
Interesting results so far... nothing too exotic though.

I'm using a Mitsubishi 19 inch flat screen Superbright CRT. I like it a lot. It does take up a lot of deskpace, but it's worth it compared to the much higher cost of a 19 inch low-response-time LCD monitor.

I know we have one person, at least, that uses a cellphone to browse the site. We changed some HTML a while ago to make it easier for them.

Guess I'm the only one with a >21'' right now:
 (Click for bigger pic)
Dell 2405FPW. It's OK I guess... still not big enough to view the various windows I have open when I work, but a 30'' LCD has a resolution so small I can barely read it.
On a side note, I used to hate the smallish 1024x768 resolution on the Thinkpad X40, but now it's the perfect (ergonomic) size!

Just ordered myself a 19'" widescreen Samsung 940 BW, it's a 4ms and 500:1 so it will be perfect for gaming and good for movies too.
