has anyone grown this before? any info would be great.
i would like to know, can it be spawned and fruited on whole grains and or rye berrys? do i "have" to give it wood of somekind? would it still fruit ok without it?
is it a fairly easy grown?

I gather that it can be developed on grain.
the grain should be used to spawn to wood.
better yet, wait for a better opinion, this is above me.
why Lions Mane?

well im looking for a good tasting mushroom, im tired of the ones i can find in the grocery.
lions mane is said to taste somewhat like lobster, and the few accounts i could find on the shroomery(dating years back) said they really liked it.
someone mentioned the king oyster last night...but im looking for a strain from sporeworks. i didn't see it on there(the exact strain they quoted anyways).
there was also a sweet mushroom on there that was another possibitly but i havn't researched either of these yet...ill get to it here in a bit.

Massive Lion's Mane (at least 12 onces, 19cm. wide) growing on 50% oak sawdust+ 25%maple woodchips + 25% weat bran. Can go up to 4-5 flushes. Skipping grain transfer, only sawdust transfers + liquid inoculation to start.

well ive run into a few snags now,aka more questions sorry.
i would like to try your recipe there knott. Where are good places (aka local stores/chains) that would have them supplys?
also i don't have a PC. i didn't think you needed it because spawn full coliz spawn i thought was good against contam.
so how would i sterilize or paturize that? i can boil it in a pot. i also have an electric dutch? oven that goes up to 400. and i can put water in it. would either of these do it?
my orignial plan was to spawn on rye, then wet some wood/sawdust, and mix this with spawn and case it. RR said i could try boiling the woodchips.

But, you'll still need a pc for the rye. I'd recommend investing in one. RR

For a homegrower, you can't beat the All American 921. You can sterilitze ten quart jars at a time. RR
