Consider the possibility that God is a human construct. God therefore "exists" as there is belief in God. What if there was no longer any belief in God? Even if God created humans (ie humans are the construct of God), if all belief disappeared then would God still exist? Could we in fact kill God?
Is that a logical argument? Or is it bullshit? Im thinking bullshit...

Existance as an abstract concept within the mind of a mammal isn't much of an existance!
Its sad that most of our experience is derived from such abstract concepts. Those who directly perceive reality and the self are few and far between...

If god is a human construct, then god would indeed die. If god exists outside the human mind, then it is humans who would die if they all stopped believing.

God as a concept exists only so long as it occurs in one's mind. And don't forget that concepts are merely symbolic of reality, they are not real.

"Belief is a beautiful armor But makes for the heaviest sword" - John Mayer Making the noise "penicillin" is no substitute for actually taking penicillin. "This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it." -Abraham Lincoln

Try having a gander at some nietzche, in particular the parable of the madman. He deals with the very same question except he claims most have not realised gods death and when all do madness will break out! (I think, long time since i read that so mite be a bit jumbled)
"what after all are these churches now if they are not the tombs and sepulchers of God?" (Nietzche

You could have just used pre-history as an example instead of going into a radical hypothetical scenario
