the larger shelf like specimen looks like Polyporus elegans or P. arcularius. It has a woody texture? spore print should be white. one thing you can do is measure the tubes and count how many occur within the space of a centimeter. You should make spore print of the smaller mushrooms. making a spore print does not involve applying pressure to the caps... check the FAQ if you do not know how. georgem

ok with 95% accuracy here.. i think ive identified the bigger mushroom as being Polyporus squamosus.
i still need some more help with the smaller ones.. the ones i thought might actually be active

they don't look like anything active. might be a Pluteus species however the likelihood they are active is pretty much nil. They might be Clitocybe as well. You really should consider printing them. did the stem separate from the cap with relative ease? georgem

It will be a pinkish brown me thinks. That is the Fawn Mushroom [Pluteus cervinus]. They are very common in Ohio, and can be easily distinguished from Psilocybes by the free gill ring where the stem intersects with the underside of the cap. I think I may have found an active pluteus once. It had the typical psilocybian blue coloration on its stem and it was beginning to rot. Another time I found one which had a psilocybe smell to it but did not bruise blue. Both mushrooms were much smaller than Pluteus cervinus, with caps no larger than two inches across. Documenting an active Pluteus would be amazingly awesome; they seem to be exceedingly rare.
