Help identifying this polypore, please.

Hello again. I went out for a good ride this morning and at the very end of my trail, I spotted this growing out of a beautiful old tree.





I looked through my guide, and the closest thing I could find is Hypsizygus tessulatus. But the season does not match. Also, the stalk was the same whitish yellow color until maybe the 1/2-1" of it where it met the tree, which was turning to a dark brown/black color (visible in the first pic).

Guessing Polyporus squamosus. Dryad's saddle is common this time of year.

I think Pinhead's got it.

Hypsizygus have gills, and are not polypores.
