This one goes out to all the babies mommas out there.

Have a good one, and read some history.

Yeah, I heard that about the civil war lady, a few days ago. Pretty cool.

Here's the truth about Cinco de Mayo:
>Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment  scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico. However, as we know, the great ship did not
make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost.
The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they  still observe to this day. The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as Sinko de Mayo. LOL!!!

I got my mom some roses and chocolates.  I helped her move some stuff.  She cooked me some food and we hung out.

 Mom

I forgot and this morning I had to drive to the store to buy a card and a candle before she woke up.

"In most countries, Mother's Day is a new concept copied from western civilization"

"In most of East Asia, Mother's Day is a heavily marketed and commercialized concept copied straight from Mother's Day in the USA."

"Mother's Day continues to this day to be one of the most commercially successful U.S. holidays."

Mothers Day
Fathers Day
Valentines Day

Are all market driven holidays, that I refuse to honor or celebrate.

You don't have to pay any money to tell your mom happy mothers day.

It's more for her than for you, it makes them feel good to know they're appreciated.

I tell my mother that I love and appreciate her all the time.

I don't need a "special holiday" to remind me that I love my mother......

and those who do need that holiday.....

don't really love their mother.
