hey all...
i just wanted to let you know that i have seen first hand the magic of milk dunking. my buddy has two different terrariums set-up side by side and, just for fun, he put regular brf cakes in one and milk dunked cakes in the other. they are all just sitting on perlite @ 75 degrees and 96-99% humidity. he told me he soaked the cakes in "fat free milk" for about 8 hours in the fridge. now the cakes are pinning side by side and the milked-up ones are exploding! i mean tripple the pins of the normal cakes. also, the pins that are developing faster than the others are these super thick mutant puerto ricans. it is damn cool if you ask me...
sorry, i didnt have a digital camera at the time, but youll just have to take my dead honest word for it. bust out the milk jugs and try it for yourself!!!! =)
peace and jah love.

wouldn't the milk dunked cakes be more prone to contamination?

that is what i thought too, but for some reason it's safe. my friend has had zero contams. there have been other threads in the past about milk dunking, and as far as i can remember, none of them had mentioned contam problems either.

milk you buy in the store is pasteurized; same procedure we use for dung and straw so theres no significant contams in that milk.
after teh cake is colonized theres really not much a change for contam anyway; only vulnerable places are where teh myc is dying/receeding after its exhausted. a healthy cake does not usually pose a contam threat though.
i saw posts a while back also about milk dunking; they used soy milk or something like that. if regular non-fat milk works well i might as well give it a shot; all my cakes are sucking 12 inch royal canadian kilted limp moose cock right about now so i gotta try something. straw casings are the biZomb though. thanks for the info btw.
-------------------- Holy shit people; COMMON SENSE! we were all born with it where did it go?
maybe theres a tek out there to explain how to use it!

has anyone triewd milk dunks on casings? FOAF dunked a few casings(water) and WHOA!
Anyone have any theories as to contams on casings with milk dunking? Would it be just like dunking cakes where pasturizing makes it cool? Or would the casing material behave differently?

Milk was the original stuff that people used to dunk with. It provides nutrients as well as hydration...i mentioned it a while back, i guess people thought i was joking.

my buddy dunked about four or five days after taking the cakes out of the jars. it was just an impulse "lets see if this works" thing. with regular store bought fat free milk, the results were impressive.
