its probably psychologically, since you took your mind of thwe anxiety wich might cause the nausea.
But that usually works with everything that can highly absorb your mind, like reading, watching tv or whatever you are into.

getting nausea is psychological/mental, the stomach nerves get the chemicals first, that what people feel in their stomach, just stomach nerves twitching special.

Excercise will speed up blood flow causing:
1. Faster digestion to access chemicals
2. Faster transport of chemicals throughout the rest of the body

I don't know about a treadmill though, maybe walking outside might be better. That's what I do, actually, lately I've been riding my bike, but same effect.

i agree on the second point but actually workouts release adrenaline wich slows down the digestion process, thus increasing the period over wich the chemicals get into the body.

Maybe thats a point, too.
Since they are absorbed slower, the strain on the somach is also easier.

intense excercise might release some adrenaline, but walking or riding a bike doesn't

altho nausea can be caused by what goes into the stomic. nausea is caused by chemical resepters in the area in the brain known as the vomit (or emetic) center in the medulla. The vomit center receives input from four major areas: the GI tract, the chemoreceptor trigger zone, the vestibular apparatus, and the cerebral cortex. the brain has a variety of receptors that test for potential toxins. Stimulation of these receptors triggers nausea and vomiting,
if ingested, a toxic substance may irritate the stomach or intestine, stimulate special chemoreceptors, and cause vomiting. the chemoreceptor trigger zone senses chemicals in the blood witch is particularly sensitive to increasing blood levels of potentially toxic substances. If a toxic substance is detected, nausea is experienced and the vomit reflex initiated. Two major neurotransmitters are involved - dopamine, acting on D2 receptors, and serotonin, acting on 5HT3 receptors, and as we know shrooms help produse a shit load of serotonin.as for the exercise goes my walk was not vigorous enough to slow down digestion. just enough to distract my mind and help me fight through that shit.
