Re: Submit your incubator set-up! [Re: Anno]

just wanted to post my 2cents and also say thank you to anno. that setup is what he showed me earlier and have been using that with great success. i use bins that dont have the handle holes on teh sides and i cover it up to keep it dark and keep heat in. best value for dollar in my opinion; very very easy and effective.

Looks nice. You might want to put the bulb of your thermometer in a small jar of water rather than having it in open air.

I usually put the thermometer inside a box w/ my jars.
I can move it around easily and measure the temp at different lacations. By puting it in water, I would be more prone to accidents and it would take up significantly more space. I figure the accuracy of the thermo is the same outside and inside of water.

What were your thoughts on this?

I've never heard of an "Airing Cupboard". I know I don't have any cupboards that are that warm.

I have a room in the house that is constantly in the mid eighties. I also have another one in the mid seventies. For humidification I just use a hand sprayer after fanning.
