hi i was wondering if anyone can ID these.I have no intention on picking or eating them but was curious what they might be.and yes i know ther mushrooms. :rolleyes:

Dude, I know there not oysters and do do agree on the texture matching the Honey mushroom.

guess i should have thought of looking under them when i was there.i found them in south MD near West VA.too far to go back.Honey shrooms huh, are they good to eat?

Well if it is and I dont know it could be and said to be good.

Though I would not eat it unless it's 100% sure and one way to help is to find out what the color the spores are.

Get a pic of the gills and if the spores are white you could be good.

There is another one that is poisonous that is said to be similar but is has brown spores, galerina autumnalis

well the next time I'm down that ways ill look.like i said i have no intention on eating them.But its good to know.although if i find some the next time and they have white spore and i eat them and i die, ill be very pissed at you.

Don't eat them. Also I'm not experienced in the honey mushroom because there are alot of look-a-likes.

Yeah, definitely don't eat. I don't think any of us are near sure enough of the ID to recommend that. I also don't bother with honey mushrooms because of the look-a-like problem -- plus they just don't look that tasty to me. I'm sure there is some emphatic disagreement on that point though.
