when I was rehydrating my dry grain jars. I shot some sterile H20 through the tyvek and just covered it back up with it's coffee filter without covering the hole I made. Think this will come back to haunt me?

so your jars are already colonized? If so then you may be lucky and get away with it depending on how strong and old the myceluim is.I can take fully colonized cakes/grain jars and open them up and leave them on my counter for 5 minutes with no problem, but it deends on how clean your house is/if there are mold spores in your house like alot of older houses tend to have,ect... Best advice is laziness and mushroom cultivation dont mix well.

Fuck. My house is from 1830, and its dusty as hell
Think I would be ok with just spraying some lysol in the air before tampering with jars?

there is no way to say.like isaid in this house/kitchen i can do get away with spraying nothing, and taking no precautions(not that i do that or recomend it though) but in my last apt i lived in it was th exact oppisate,no matter what i did if the substrate or grain came into contact with the air for even a nano secondi was doomed. Before i got my glovebox i use to do all my inoculation/spawning ect outside on the porch because i actually had almost a 75% better sucess rate. I tried everything i wiped the walls down with bleach water ect..nothing worked. So bottom line is youll just have to wait and see and hope for the best and stop being lazy..:p

Spray the whole place( ceiling walls floor) with 5% bleach. Maybe 2 or 3 times. Maybe more.

i dont bother, havent seen any contams either. After all, you're not incubating your jars in the kitchen.

Naw, I did mine in my crappy glovebox. Well since you don't tape I'm not as worried. But I do live in a college apartment, so maybe I should tape for good measure. I don't wanna transfer them all from the TIT to the glovebox again though (laziness prevails), think doin them in the incubator would be fine after a little lysoling in the area?
