My mono tub is 31 inches long and 16 inches wide will 20 pounds of pressurized Tenn stud be enough for a 5 inch substrate depth?

Im not sure how many quarts tub is that?
As long as you have enough poo to put a half inch or more in the bottom it will work.

I was just readn one of your post and you say you used 30 pounds wet for a 124 quart tub. My tubs are 180 quart. So ya i guess that would not be enough, now im thinkn of just buying 20 pounds dry from tenn stud and pasturizing it my self sound like a better idea?

concerning the tub size i want to add that the original mono was in a rather small tub.
as for large tubs i am not sure if the passive air exchange system would be sufficient or if it would need additional fanning. thought id add that.

You got confused. I use 20-30 lbs wet poo for 64 quart. I use 50 lbs for 124 qrt.

True, I plan to fan it on occasion but i do have 24 holes in the tub with polyfil. 4 on each end 2 on bottom 2 on top, And 8 on each side 4 on bottom 4 on top.

hhhmmm i may of done that a few times. im pasteurizing allot more efficiently now.
i like to have 3 inches of sub in the 124 quart and 4 inches in 64 quarts. dont ask me why.
just take 20 pounds of field capacity soil and put it in your tub and see how much is in there.
its been a long time since ive grown so im a little off.

Tell me if I'm right 31" by 16" is 3.43 square feet (31/12 x 16/12)and tennstud says that 5 lbs (not sure if they meen prepaturized or not)will cover 1 square foot with a substrate depth of 4in. So a 20lbs bag would cover 4 square more then 3.43 square feet which will give a thicker substrate depth. Does this sound right that one 20lbs prepasturized bag would be adequate for a 31" long and 16" deep tub and have a 4-5 inch depth?

no.
just order extra and order all un-pateurized. this is what you do:
when the unpasteurized DRY substrate arrives, line your tub with a trash bag. A good one.
put as much dry substrate in there as you will need to achieve the depth you want.
hydrate and pasteurize this amount. The water will add weight, not volume.
the left over un-pasteurized substrate will be used in the future.
no waste and exact measurements with no math.
