whole grains vs rye berrys

ok i have some varys mushrooms i plan to grow bear this in mind please.
one of these is going to be lions main. Which would be better for this? i wanted to get the four pack from sporeworks, but not sure which one to get. would either even work?

I believe they are wood lovers, newly dead hard woods.
I dont know about indoor cultivation...

well its like i said its for "other" mushrooms as well. but beyond that...that part of the shroomery seems quite dead...
so has anyone spawned lions main on grain? Then in some old posts i think i read someone said that grain was better than sawdust(worked quicker) but then other guy said sawdust just takes longer to get ate up.
based on this it sounds as if i could fruit on a bag of grain or maybe rye berrys....anyone grown this mushroom before?

Rye berries work very well for hericium. Spawn to hardwood chips/sawdust after the rye colonizes. Rye berries are a whole grain by the way. RR

Although I personally haven't fruited this species directly from grain, I would guess that it would work since it fruits easily on agar.
