Dry Jars

I recently posted about having jars that were too dry after PCing. I went over everything I did and found it to be correct. But the one detail that may have been the cause (as far as i can tell)for the dryness and lack of any colonization would be that I did not remove the grain jars from the PC when they were hot to shake them and evenly distribute the water. I waited untill they were completely cool. The bottom still had clumpy grains and extra moisture on it after shaking fairly hard. The question is: Could this really be the cause of the dryness? Also they are incubating at 83-84. Any input would be appreciated. Perhaps when the water settles in the jars after PCing, it gets locked in to the grains and cannot be distributed again without heating (mere shaking isn't enough). This may be overanalytical, but I just wanna do this as good as possible. Any takers?

what type of heat are you using for your incubator? if you use a dry heat it will dry your jars, TIT or heatbomb is necessary. also if you remove from your pc before cooled will suck moisture right out because of pressure

wheat berries. I'm just looking at it and I can tell by the color of the grains. The browner they are the drier. It just doesn't look saturated ya know.its been a week with no growth

I dont know very much about that substrate, i am going to bed now, if you are spawning to hpoo best to use wbs as it is easy and nutes and all that dont matter because you're spawning. i wish i could tell you more but i've never really even read up on the teks good night and good luck! BTW could take ten days if your inoculating with spores. you should really look into wild bird seed (WBS) to horse poo teks from my experience best way to go
