how can i field i.d. copelandia cyanescens?

looking through shroomery, ive found that cope cyans grow in louisiana. ive seen many a shroom that resemble the pics. how can i field id these buggers?
also, is the trip any different from cubes? im bored with cubes...kinda...
-------------------- Its cube season on the gulf coast. Whats more natural than a man going out and collecting medicines? I like to take the heavenly route to hell.

It's easy - they go blue. Very blue. And they grow from cow dung. Other than that just look at some pictures of them. If you find a mushroom that looks like them, with gills, growing from dung and bruises blue, chances are you found some. It's not rocket science. Which is precisely why I'm astounded at the amount of people coming on here asking for IDs and posting pics of a mushroom that isn't even close.

If you are certain that you have pans/copes, you would notice blue bruising rather quickly. If you are not certain, take them home and make a proper ID attempt out of it.

You also want to have a BLACK - BLACK colored spores print......along with growing ON dung and the usually quik DEFINATE NO MISTAKIN IT......BLUE to BLUE-GREEN bruising reaction where touched or cut = Copelandia

You need to go visit the Shroomery's Ultimate Shroom Guide and go to the species ID page and then click open the Copelandia cyanescens page and you have access to over 700 photogrpahs form around the world of Copelandia cyanescens and each photo opens to a fl ull screen size of 8 inches high and wide.
Check them out you will see bluing etc, look at the two new pagesd from Thailand of the for 2005 some nice ones already blue in their natural habitat of manure.
