My favorite Yankee went down last night...probably out for the whole season with a fractured wrist. It was ugly, you can find the replays at Yankees.com most likely. But he went down like a trooper, putting his all into a dive for the ball...and what I love about him so much is that even after he broke his wrist, all the pain he was in...he still scrambled for the ball and tried to complete play even though his wrist had been snapped completely backwards.
Bubba Crosby's got big shoes to fill - but I love Bubba, and I think he can really contribute.

Dude...did you see a real close up of it in slow mo? First his wrist snaps back so the back of his hand pretty much touches his arm. And then when he gets up to get the ball, if you look closely (keep in mind internet video is NOT high-def at all usually) you can see the bone hanging out.
Gruesome would be Aaron Rowand last night though - did you see that?

He's on the Philadelphia Phillies, they acquired him in a trade from the White Sox.
he dove face-first into a metal barricade, made the catch, and shattered his nose.
They probably won't have the video of him AFTERWARDS in the dugout though...blood was fucking GUSHING.

Heh, yeah it was his glove hand...He didn't get it flat to the ground enough so it caught and pulled back.

Phillies fucking got lucky last night too. They were only up 2-0 and the game got rained out after the middle of the 5th so it was officially a game. That's not an insurmountable lead for the mets at all.

yea, that happened to the jays against the white sox. they were gettin blown out and hten in the bottom of the 4th or so they made a huge come back, big momentum and it was obvious it was gonna be close. and then they called the game.
they were playing in ridiculous weather just to get to the point where they could make it final.

Yeah, I watched that Blue Jays and Sox game. It was fucking insane. I've never seen so much water pile up on the field and them still playing the game. It got to the point to where the White Sox couldn't even field the ball correctly because it was hitting puddles of water and going every which way.

Breaking News : Yankees trade Shawn Chacon and prospects to SF for LF Barry Bonds.
I mean, not breaking now, but look for it in the next few days...
