Ahhh mother fuckin cunt shit piss ahhH!!!!!!!!!!!! I've aggrivated the goddamn back injury that just won't go away.
I first pulled it out (it's the long muscle that runs down with your spine... dunno the name) and so I took a good while off from the gym.
It feels good and healed, I go back and like a couple days later it starts to act up again but not serious. So I take more time off from the gym... feels good and healed once again! Go back... lo and fucking behold.
I get to the gym today... do 7 curls. On the 8th one. SLAM. This time it's bad. I could barely turn to see where I'm backing my car up.
What it the best way to heal this sucker once and for all. Time? I got a little tub of Deep Cold, but that only does so much eh.

Not that I see anything wrong with taking painkillers for serious pain, but I hope you're joking because that is a GREAT way to cover up your back pain and make it worse.

That is the only thing that cured me when I had back problems. I tried just about everything; chiropractors, heat pads, massage therapy, a new mattress, stretching exercises---nothing ever worked for very long.
I would go about a week or so without any pain and I would think that I was finally better but then I would do something non-strenuous, like sitting on the floor, and as soon as I tried to get up the pain would return so sharply that I could barely rise to my feet.
I don't know exactly what brought about the injury but I think it was work related. It wasn't until I got another job (non-physical) that my back problems finally ended. It took the better part of the year before I felt better but now looking back on it I know that was the key to ending my back pains. It has been a good 10 years or so since I have had any problems with my back.
Time seems to be the only thing that worked for me.

well let me ask you something when you work out, do you use good posteur.
like when doing curls you should have your back to a wall. some people will swing there arms and back with curls...really bad for back.
nothing but your arms should be moviing during a workout...always keep back stright.
during daily activiys...whenever you have to bend over, Don't.
bend knees back straight.
also are you sure its a muscle and purhaps not your spine aka disc/discs. might need to get an xray.
also to help maybe drink lots of organic milk, jog in moderation<--helps with lots of things. infact i wouldn't lift weights for a year...just do "natural" exercises. running walking, gental sports, don't do situps or crouchs.
swimming is a very good exercise but finding clean water is a tough job.
you could try and see if daily streching could help or make it worse i dunno.
but it really sounds like your just lifting to much weight and using your back, need to start slower and alot less weight...i know in the gym its hard not to put more weight on but...really need to just start with the bar, and add 5 or 10 pounds a month.

If you haven't seen a chiropractor......give that a shot.
I know that I have to see my chiropractor at least once a month, or my back will give me lots of grief.
He was able to tell me that my right leg was 18mm too short, causing most of my back trouble.

Proteolytic enzymes to reduce inflammation and rest. Then use light weights for some time before you push it. Pay attention to how you lift and don't let your mind wander to that cute little thing on the inner thigh machine.
Topical Arnic cream also.
