anyone know how to mod the v400 as if was NEW AGAIN?

its TOO DAMN LOuD ..i ve had it for about a year i guess,and its the loudest thing in the whole damn apartment giving off a EEEERRRRRRRR0000----0000M like i had a 1930's vehicle..does anyone know whats causing the loud noise .or suggestions how to make it alil bit more calm like a kitty..? please....my casing has been waitin for like 2dayz and i cant throw him in with out 247 air.

Yes, replace it. When the bushings wear out, they get loud. You're most likely running a hose from the humidifier, which creates a very small amount of static pressure, forcing wet, misty air into the motor bushings. Run the humidifier without any modifications and it will stay quiet for years.
I don't believe in using a mechanical device prone to failure for air exchanage. Just leave your door or lid loose for constant air exchange. Use a humidifier for humidity in a greenhouse or perlite to maintain humidity in a terrarium unless your casing bulk substrates which will make enough humidity on their own in a terrarium. RR

never taken one apart myself to know, but if the motor is exposed you can spray it down with some electrical contact cleaner and that often helps. just silenced a noisy stirrer in this way. RR is right on though its a sign of wear and impending failure when any electrical motor suddenly gets loud. cleaning it with some contact cleaner might buy some time but you might want to just get another one and have it ready to go.
