Is it too Early ???
    #561888 - 02/24/02 08:05 PM (21 years, 9 months ago)

One of my buddies has a Eq jar colinizing and it is about 95% done (a little bit on the top left to go) and it has already started to pin. Should I go ahead and birth or wait until done

I would wait it out until it's colonized. Never give them contams a chance!

if it's pinning already you might not want to wait 'cause if you leave them in the jar for too long the mushrooms won't pop away from the cake... then you get a shit load of aborts... 'cause the mycellium will continue colonizing after it's out of the jar.

you will have a second flush if they abort. If you are unlucky and get contamination from premature birthing, you won't have a second flush.
