Advice? :)

Ok, I know I may be biting off a little much for my first try at this (hey, I like a challenge), but after spending the last couple of months reading I feel fairly educated and ready to give this a shot.
My Tubs: Poor man's pod for a FC at ~85% RH. TiT incubator
My Plan: I'm planning on starting with WBS ( Soak and Simmer WBS Prep )
Once I have the jars colonized (and hopefully not with any contams ), I'm planning on casing them using the 50/50+ casing tek along with hyphae's advice here
I know there are a million options for doing this sort of thing, this is the way I feel most comfortable with, my question to you more experienced folks is, will this work? I know I need to worry about contams (in the jars mainly, and after the 1st flush), and watch moisture content of the casings. I'd just like to verify with some elders that my theory is sound .
Thanks!

Well it sounds like you have a good idea of what you need to do.
I don't like to simmer however. I like just a soak. If you follow the info HERE then you should have no problem getting the correct moisture content for your grains. WBS isn't really a very good substrate to fruit from. You should consider finding horse manure locally or ordering some from a vendor. (making WBS spawn is the hardest part, why stop 10 feet from the finish line?)
If you go the horse manure route it is simple to use a TUB set up to fruit from with great results and minimal investment. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/4323984/an/0/page/0

I honestly haven't investigated hpoo at all. My concerns are the pasteurization/sterilization process(can you buy it pre pasteurized?), and the smell (does it smell at all?) as I'd hate to stink up the house. I'll look into it tonight though as I have a few days before I get started . If I do find that hpoo doesn't sit well with me, even though I may not get optimal results, is it possible to fruit from wbs? I forgot to ask in my original post, but as far as measurments go, how big does my casing pan need to be for a quart jar of wbs (hpoo or otherwise).
Thanks

Ya dude go to tennstud.com and by the 20 pound bag of pre-pasteurized shit. Comes out to like 50 bucks but thats a good bag. I'm starting my grow log in a day or two maybe tonight, its wbs to poo.
pm me if u got any questions man

Pasteurization is easy and no aged weathered horse poo doesn't stink.
You can buy pre-pasteurized from tennstud or you could order it dry and get A LOT more and pasteurize it yourself.
You can fruit from WBS. But you should consider using RYE. If you do decide to use WBS you then should simmer it to allow it to absorb the most moisture possible.

Thanks for the advice guys I appreciate it. Is it easier to fruit from rye than wbs? Is anything extra required (equipment wise)? It would seem all the reading in the world is only going to lead me to more reading .
So let me ammend my original ideas just hypothetically, if I went with rye, I assume the process is at least similar to wbs (I will look it up shortly), is there any extra equipment needed (that I can't get locally?). As far as the horse shit, how much do I need assuming I'm making 2, maybe 4 quart jars of rye (or wbs).
Thanks

wbs and rye are the same principle... grains
you're better off getting more poo than you need to shave on shipping if your going through tennstud, so go ahead and order like 20lb of non paterized poo and pateurize as needed.
Take the dry poo in a trash bag and put into fruiting chamber at desired depth to determine how much poo to use. Adding water will add mostly density, not size. Once you determine how much to use, pasteurize and you're on your way, no waste at all.
