Rye flour (help)

I have been trying to get rye grain, but in my city (in my whole country) rye seems to be quite elusive. I decided to ask a friend of mine, who is a chef and owns a restaurant, to get me some rye. And she did, but she sent me around 2 kilos of whole rye flour, perfectly sealed, etc. How can I use it? I was thinking of applying the BRF PF method using rye flour instead of BRF. Frankly, I don´t feel like returning to cakes after having tried casings, but it seems logical to do so. What do you think?

I think with flour that is your only bet...
just crumble up the cakes after and transfer them to bulk or casings.
wbs is quite effective in my opinion, you guys feed birds in your country right?? Look for some Wild Bird Seed and give that a go.

I use wbs with very good results but, well, rye has this aura that makes me want to try...

You certainly can but mix up everthing dry real good first as rye flour will be very sticky. I have done this with excellent results. GL

An alternative to rye berries if you're wanting to do bulk substrate is to use grass seed. Rye grass seed is usually recommended, but I've tried growing with several different types of 'lawn grass' and it worked with every seed I tried. Good luck. RR
