Humidifier set up incorrectly?

Heya, I put a lot of time putting this setup together but I can't get the humidifier to push vapor through the tubes, instead it seeps through the crack where the top meets the bottom. I sealed up the original vapor exhaust port on the humidifier, and mounted grommets where the tubes attach to the humidifier. When I let it run for a few minutes a SMALL amount of moisture collects at the begginning of the tubes but that is about it. Please help, all my effort will have been for nothing if I don't get this to work. Thanks in advance.

what size tubing are you using? have you tried sealing where it comes out from in the crack between top and bottom? do you have a hole in your terr to release air as well? take a look at the set-up a friend of mine built, having the bottles upside down works great for drainage, it can be a bitch to try and empty them all the times as they do get quite a bit of water in them. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Forum2&Number=549535&fpart=1&PHPSESSID= he uses ulra-sonic so anything i say is in refrence to that. but i am sure most of it is the same.

I use a cool mist as well. I use 3/4" O.D. x 5/8" I.D. hose. I originally had a 3/4" spigot valve inline thinking I needed to control the flow; it was way too much restriction. The top had to be sealed down to keep water from coming out. The other thing I used was a heating pad under the cool mist to heat the water a bit to get the humidity level I wanted. Humidity ran from 88% with the pad off to 98% with the pad on setting #2 of 4 settings. I would say your biggest problem is tube size as per your pic. Here?s a pic of my setup.
