Cool, Thanks A Lot.
So the Panaeolus antillarum is very similar to the Psilocybe cubensis?

Cubensis have a DARK CHOCOLATE PURPLE BROWN to DARK PURPLE BLACK spores

Yeah ... was going to say he means identical to Copelandia cyanascens, not Psilocybe cubensis.
Both these species grow in the same places under the same conditions. Below is a pic of some Copelandia cyanscens I picked a few years ago. It's hard to see because I was dumb enough to use a blue background, but you should be able to note the blueish bruising on the stems and caps.

Note the veil on the little one beside the key.
Looks more like Panaeolus semiovatus than P. antillarmun to me.

That is where the stem had been bent and broke and there is no sign of of veil or annular zone whatsoever on the mushrooms in perfect condition nor is there any sign of one in the pics provided by DaveTX......which is Panaeolus papilionaceus - sphinctrinus - campanulatus group

Cool, Thanks A Lot.
So the Panaeolus antillarum is very similar to the Psilocybe cubensis?
Actually i think he was refering to copelandia cyanesence, when he said a mushroom similar to antillarums. If you are in Texas, then its possible to find Cubes as well as Copes. Ive found them side by side in the same patty before. Copes are a lot more rare in Texas usually, but they are stronger than cubes. And they look almost exactly like the antillarums you found. Inexperience hunters probably couldnt tell the difference at all. You just gotta watch for the cream colored tops if the caps, and extreme blue bruising. Also copes wont be as big or meaty as antillarums most of the time. Here is a pic of the copes that you want to look for.

Hope that helps.

Man I hate to correct you on this but Copes are NOT rare in Texas...... This is 2 hours of Hunting about 75 miles south of San Antonio.
Found some active Pans that day also....

Haha I agree. I guess I mis-stated that. I meant that they were rare in comparison to cubes. Although I know a field that produces nothin but copes, and some that produce none at all. I guess its just all about your location and timing.
