the Tao Teh Ching: your favorite translation?
    #5616691 - 05/11/06 10:55 AM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Personally, I grew up with the John CH Wu translation, and prefer it over others. I love this one mostly because of the way it states a certain verse, and also because it fits in your pocket.

but I have read other translations, and found them enlightening as well. 'The Complete works of Lao Tzu' by Hua-Ching Ni is badass. What do you think?

I've heard good things about Ni. I personally have used the Stephen Mitchell version, and have enjoyed it quite well: it's very poetic and profound.

the tao teh ching is the penultimate teachings of the enlightened master Lao Tzu. I personally believe that the Tao is the personal philosophy of Christ.

you can find it in any bookstore
